The freelancer, or independent contractor, has completed a job or task for the customer and will send them an invoice with the total amount owed for services. This statement will have an itemized list of all services performed by the freelancer and the cost of each of those items. The customer will be provided a time period in which they must make the payment; the contractor will either allow the customer to make payments over an extended period of time or ask for the total amount on a specific date.
